The Montessori Method

The Montessori Method is a philosophy that respects the unique individuality of each child. It takes cognisance of the worthiness and value of children. Rather than comparing the child to the norms and standards which characterise traditional education systems, it is an approach that recognises the unique talents, gifts and needs of each child. Founded on the belief that children should be free to learn without restriction or criticism, it promotes a love of learning in a way that allows each child to learn at his or her own pace.
